Good news, guys. Miura are releasing a new iron!
Any time Miura gears up for a new release, it’s a milestone. Boasting the most timeless iron designs in golf, the boutique Japanese iron manufacturer doesn’t adhere to golf’s customary one or two-year product cycle. In fact, Miura only commit to a new release when they are good and ready to proceed, after first establishing a tangible performance benefit.
Which brings us to the new Miura TC-202 iron. It’s a tour cavity iron that takes over from the Miura TC-201 iron, which was released over five years ago. Yep, five years ago.
Slotting in between Miura’s current MB-101 and CB-302 irons, the TC-202 bridges the gap between muscleback blade and cavity back iron. It’s more forgiving than the former and slightly smaller than the latter.
But the TC-202 features a throwback design component — pulled from Miura’s distinctive CB-57 iron — that improves stability and manoeuvrability. And it also enhances the famous Miura forged feel. Let’s take a closer look…
