MOVING FORWARD

Consistency is a buzzword that gets thrown around a lot by putter makers because, by their reckoning, greater consistency always leads to greater success (a.k.a more putts falling in the cup).

Boosting the stability, or MOI, of a putter has been a particular area of focus in order to create a more consistent putter. And invariably the best way to achieve that has been to shift the CG as far away from the putter face as feasible.

But Odyssey have taken a bit of a U-turn in 2022 by shifting the CG forward in the Tri-Hot 5K putters.

Odyssey reasoned it’s the best way of standardizing ball speed off the putter face (where putts out of the sweet spot travel the same distance as off-centre strikes) while at the same time reducing the amount of side spin created by those off-centre putts that causes the ball to drift off line (a.k.a tightening dispersion).

When both of those variables intersect regularly enough, putts will be holed.

A BLADE UNLIKE ANY OTHER

With the NEW with the TRI-HOT 5k Odyssey have achived unmatched forgiveness from a blade putter. The 5K references that fact, with the putters all in excess of 5000 on the MOI scale, which, incidentally, is quite a big deal - it’s never been achieved before in a regular-sized blade putter. A stainless steel front and aluminium tail section, combined with a huge amount of tungsten weighting on the front corners (120g in total), shifts the CG forward.

RED STROKE LAB SHAFT

The newest generation of Odyssey's proven multi-material Stroke Lab shaft features even better performance. By shortening the steel section, they reduced the weight by seven grams compared to the original Stroke Lab. Odyssey also made it stiffer and more stable for even more consistency in your stroke and your performance.
