Max Homa What's In The Bag (2025)

American Max Homa is a six-time PGA Tour winner, Ryder Cup and Presidents Cup representative, and golf’s undisputed king of deadpan humour.

Homa’s swing analysis roasts are legendary and he rivals Bryson DeChambeau as the internet’s favourite pro golfer. While his humility and capacity for self-deprecation make him extremely relatable, those qualities belie a killer instinct on the golf course.

When in the hunt, Homa is one of golf’s best closers and, by his own admission, is a massive golf nerd and perfectionist. In 2025, he signed on as a Cobra tour staffer.

MAX HOMA DRIVER

COBRA DS-ADAPT LS (9°)

Despite unleashing a PGA Tour record 477-yard drive at Kapalua in 2024, Max’s driving distance has been bang on the tour average the past few seasons. However, his switch to the new Cobra DS-Adapt LS driver could change things in 2025.

The LS is the low-spin, low-launch model of the Cobra DS-Adapt range and is built to match faster swing speeds. A new adaptive weighting system and aerodynamically efficient head makes the Cobra DS-Adapt LS driver faster and more forgiving. And it’s also more fittable.

Cobra’s new FutureFit33 hosel offers 33 loft and lie angle combinations, which helped Max dial in the perfect setup for his Cobra DS-Adapt LS driver to match his swing.  

A Fujikura Ventus Blue ’24 7X shaft is installed in Max’s Cobra DS-Adapt LS driver.

MAX HOMA FAIRWAY WOODS

TAYLORMADE Qi10 (3W: 15°, 7W: 21°)

A pair of TaylorMade Qi10 fairway woods may be outliers in light of Max’s new Cobra deal, but they provide him with an excellent mix of speed and distance.

His 190cc Qi10 three wood features a carbon fibre infinity crown, which lowers the club’s centre of gravity to help launch the ball high. More forgiving than the Qi10 Tour fairway, the standard Qi10 is fitted with a shallower face than the Qi10 Max fairway wood.

Max’s TaylorMade Qi10 seven wood offers similar high launching performance, helping him stop his long approach shots quickly on the greens.

Max has a Fujikura Ventus Blue ’24 8X shaft fitted to his three wood, while a Fujikura Ventus Black ’24 9X shaft is installed on his seven wood.

MAX HOMA IRONS

COBRA KING MB (6-PW), COBRA KING CB (5), COBRA LIMIT3D (4)

Max plays Cobra KING MB irons in his short irons, which are compact, traditional muscleback blades. Cobra KING MB irons offer a premium soft feel, achieved through Cobra’s five-step forging process. They are tour irons designed for maximum workability.

Meanwhile, Max’s five iron is a Cobra KING CB model. A cavity back iron, it offers more forgiveness than the Cobra KING MB and has an emphasis on distance.

And at the bottom end of the bag, Max uses a Cobra Limt3d four iron. The iron is 3D printed and features a signature internal lattice structure, which allowed Cobra to inject 100g of tungsten inside the head. It gives the Limit3d iron game-improvement levels of forgiveness and distance, in a compact player’s iron head size.

Max uses KBS $-Taper 130 shafts in all his Cobra irons.

MAX HOMA WEDGES

COBRA SNAKEBITE (50°, 56°), COBRA KING PROTOTYPE (60°)

Max carries three tour-grade Cobra wedges in his bag.

The two lower lofted wedges are Cobra’s Snakebite model, which features Cobra’s famous Snakebite grooves. Sharper and larger, Snakebite grooves offer Max superb spin, control and stopping power on the greens.

Meanwhile, his 60° Cobra KING prototype wedge features a T grind on the sole. Suited to firm conditions, the T grind features aggressive relief out of the heel, toe and trailing edge to give Max versatility around the greens, especially out of the sand.

MAX HOMA PUTTER

SCOTTY CAMERON PHANTOM X T5.5 TOUR PROTOTYPE

Max’s Scotty Cameron Phantom X T5.5 prototype mallet has been in his bag since 2022. A high MOI mallet, Max’s Phantom X T5.5 is constructed from stainless steel and features an aluminium sole plate. The fanged putter’s slant neck hosel makes the mallet feel more like a blade.

MAX HOMA GOLF BALL

TITLEIST PRO V1x

Max’s 2025 Titleist Pro V1x tour ball offers a mix of spin into and around the greens, and low-spinning distance off the tee. Featuring a higher compression, the Pro V1x feels firmer than the Pro V1 and also flies a fraction higher and offers more spin on full shots.
