With a legacy that is growing every week by virtue of his sustained excellence, two-time major winner and Olympic gold medallist Scottie Scheffler stands alone at the summit of golf.
Just 41 days after winning his first tournament on the PGA Tour, Scottie Scheffler reached the pinnacle of golf when he ascended to World No.1 in 2022. And just 14 days after that, he won his first major at the 2022 Masters. It was a remarkable rise for the likeable Scheffler and he hasn’t backed off since. He won the Phoenix Open and Player’s Championship before signing off 2023 with a late season victory at the Hero World Challenge (November 30 - December 3). Scottie then underlined his status as the top player in the world when winning the Arnold Palmer Invitational (March 7-10) and Player’s Championship (March 14-17) when he successfully defended his title.
But the best was yet to come: in April 2024, he won his second green jacket with a commanding victory at the 88th Masters, before following up with victories at the RBC Heritage (April 18-21), The Memorial (June 6-9) and the Travelers Championship (June 21-24) making him the first player since Arnold Palmer in 1962 to win six times before July. And at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games (August 1-4), his breathtaking back nine to win the gold medal was a career-defining performance that moved him a step closer to becoming an immortal of the game.
