Xander won the US PGA and Open Championship with his red Odyssey Seven X putter and continues to use it in 2025.
So, what makes it so special?
For starters, it’s 100 per cent milled from stainless steel. It offers Xander the feel and sound he prefers and ensures ultra-precise consistency in the manufacturing process.
And it features a deep diamond groove pattern on the face, which promotes a pure forward roll and delivers a firmer feel than Odyssey’s insert putters. The face is also blacked out, providing a contrast between the putter’s striking deep red head — the most obvious clue it's Xander’s putter.
Xander chose the head’s eye-catching red colourway because of the contrast it provides when set against verdant greens. The putter also features the trio of white alignment lines Xander uses to frame the head and line-up his putts.
The Odyssey red Seven X putter is fitted with the same black, stepped shaft Xander uses. It also features the same grip: a Super Stroke Pistol 2.0 grip.
The putter is installed with a crank hosel, which provides the moderate amount of toe hang that clicks with Xander’s putting stroke.
The Odyssey red Seven X putter will be available April 18, 2025. Pre-orders commence April 11.
