You’ve got to love Honma’s approach to naming their new T//World GS series of clubs, and not just for the bold use of the twin forward slash syntax in the title.
The low-key GS suffix is a quite simply an abbreviation for ‘Gain Speed’; no buzzwords or catchy slogans at Honma, just a perfect summation of what the GS range is all about.
It's a minimalist approach that goes hand-in-hand with Honma’s clubmaking but the ‘Gain Speed’ principles at work in the T//World GS line-up are anything but restrained.
The Japanese manufacturer has thrown everything on the table to make EXTRA SPEED a reality for players with mid-range swing velocities (around 80-95mph).
Materials, design, manufacturing and development procedures have all been revised for the GS driver, hybrid, utility and irons, with resulting improvements in speed, launch and spin that are best described as fairly awesome.
Honma’s famous forging process, refined over decades at its facility in Sakata, is legendary for creating authentically pure golf clubs and the new T//World GS line-up is the latest to join the fold. The T//World GS also features a full range of Ladies driver, fairway woods, utility irons, and regular irons.
